For Salads
There are virtually endless recipes online for using Dukkah for salads, more hearty salads rather than garden leafy salads. However, to transform a garden salad into a hearty lunch or meal add Dukkah and tuna. Or unlike croutons which are deep fried and used in garden salads, Dukkah has a natural crunch without the excess oil. This of course comes from the nuts and seeds that make up a Dukkah with their natural oils.
From roasted vegetables (especially roasted pumpkin salads) Dukkah is used as a source of texture, sustenance and flavour. Other favourite vegetables that Dukkah often features with is Eggplant and Cauliflower, both are great options for getting people to eat their vegetables when a little Dukkah is added… especially the children!
